PUSH & LIFT

TOOLKIT

Make your own tools without coding and use them in RACE, COACH and ADVANCE.

What it is for

TOOLKIT builds tools your way: one big value, a bar, a traffic light by threshold. They show live data and, once saved, appear in RACE, COACH and ADVANCE, in the TOOLKIT group. You can also turn them into a standalone overlay.

How to open it

  1. In the Suite menu, PIT group, click TOOLKIT. The editor opens inside the Suite.
  2. With no simulator running you see LIVE DATA · DEMO: demonstration data to try things with.

The screen

Top

  • EDITOR and CATALOGUE: the two views.
  • Screen type: which screen you are designing for.
  • Creation name: type the name here.
  • Undo and Redo.
  • SAVE and ADD TO OVERLAYS.

Left

  • Base kits and My kits: starting points and what you already have.
  • Add tool, with Search….
  • NEW and IMPORT.

Centre and right

  • In the centre, your creation with data.
  • LAYERS: the pieces, one on top of another.
  • OPTIONS: the settings of the chosen piece. With none chosen you see Select a tool.
  • Piece sections: BOXES, PRESETS, PARTS, MY STUFF, DRIVERS and ADVANCED.

Common tasks

Making a tool

  1. Click NEW or choose a kit in Base kits.
  2. Type the name.
  3. With Add tool, search for the value and add it.
  4. Choose the piece and adjust it in OPTIONS.
  5. Click SAVE. It tells you it is now in RACE, COACH and ADVANCE.

Adding a traffic light by threshold

  1. Choose the piece.
  2. In OPTIONS, add a condition with Minimum, Maximum and the colour.
  3. Watch it change with the demo data.

Turning it into an overlay

  1. Save the tool.
  2. Click ADD TO OVERLAYS. It appears in the OVERLAYS group of the menu.

Using it on a screen

  1. Open RACE, COACH or ADVANCE.
  2. Find the TOOLKIT group and add it to a cell.

Bringing in one from another driver

  1. Click IMPORT and choose the file.
  2. If it is not valid, it tells you why.

Common problems

  • "Add at least one piece": an empty creation cannot be saved.
  • "No link to the engine": nothing was saved. Check Push & Lift is still open and save again.
  • "That file isn't a tool": the imported file is not valid.
  • It does not appear in RACE: check you clicked SAVE and look in the TOOLKIT group.
