PUSH & LIFT

RADAR

Blind spot on both sides, who is catching you from behind and slow or stopped cars ahead.

What it is for

RADAR warns you of what you cannot see: cars alongside, faster cars coming from behind and slow or stopped cars ahead.

How to open and place it

  1. In the Suite menu, OVERLAYS group, click RADAR. On the left you see DISPLAY and on the right its menu.
  2. Click START. STOP removes it.
  3. AUTOMATIC: it starts with the simulator and stops when you close it.
  4. The dropdown chooses which screen it appears on. VR tells you which window to capture in virtual reality. STREAMING copies the link to add it to OBS as a browser source. MANUAL opens this manual on the web.
  5. Drag it to move it and stretch its corner to resize it.
  6. To drive without a click touching it, the Ctrl+Alt+L shortcut locks and releases the overlays.

The menu

  • Blind Spot: Enable this zone and its Display Mode.
  • Faster Cars: Enable this zone.
  • Slow Car: Enable this zone.
  • Look: Legacy, Top-down or Edges. Colour by distance: Yellow under, Orange under, Red (impact zone) under and Metres shown.

Common tasks

Adjusting when it turns red

  1. In Look, open Colour by distance.
  2. Adjust Red (impact zone) under.

Removing a warning

  1. Open its zone and turn off Enable this zone.

Common problems

  • It looks empty in the preview: it only draws when there is a car alongside.
  • No warnings on track: check iRacing is open and the zone is on.
