PUSH & LIFT

LITTLE

The CSV tell-tale: what the reference driver did right where you are.

What it is for

LITTLE sits on top of the iRacing DDU. It takes another driver's lap, in a CSV, and tells you at each point on track what they did: braking, just lifting, which gear, and how far to the braking point. Without a CSV it stays mute.

How to open and place it

  1. In the Suite menu, DDU group, click LITTLE. On the left you see DISPLAY and on the right its menu.
  2. Click START. STOP removes it.
  3. AUTOMATIC: it starts with the simulator and stops when you close it.
  4. The dropdown chooses which screen it appears on. VR tells you which window to capture in virtual reality. STREAMING copies the link to add it to OBS as a browser source. MANUAL opens this manual on the web.
  5. Drag it to move it and stretch its corner to resize it.
  6. To drive without a click touching it, the Ctrl+Alt+L shortcut locks and releases the overlays.

What you are seeing

  • The circle: what they do here. Red when braking, green when free, and a 3, 2, 1 countdown as you reach their braking point.
  • Metres to braking: inside the corner it shows a dash.
  • Peak brake: how much brake they entered with. LIFT if they only lifted.
  • Gear: the lowest they used there.
  • The four corners: the estimated temperature of your tyres.
  • Circle warnings: CSV, no lap loaded. PISTA, it is from another track.

Common tasks

Loading the reference lap

  1. Right click on LITTLE, or use its menu in the Suite.
  2. Click Load lap CSV…. The Suite includes sample laps and the window opens where they are.
  3. The menu tells you the time, track and car.

Measuring against yourself

  1. Drive a lap.
  2. Click My last lap.

Moving the warning earlier or later

  1. In the menu, find the braking point setting.
  2. Move it half a metre at a time. It does not touch the CSV.

Common problems

  • The circle shows CSV: load a lap.
  • It shows PISTA: the lap is from another track and its metres are not valid.
  • Tyres look cold or hot: use the tyre calibration. It only changes the colour.
