SAFE BY DESIGN

It never touches the sim itself.

GARAJE only reads and writes iRacing's own configuration files — the same ones the sim writes — and only while the sim is closed. It never touches the running process or its memory. Every save makes a backup first; the Restore screen brings any file back exactly as it was.

Tip: edit with iRacing closed, then launch — the sim overwrites its .ini files on exit.
