The pit wall. It started life as the fuel calculator and today it is the command post for whoever watches the race from outside: the one on the wall, the one broadcasting, or the team-mate following the driver.
Two things in one:
THE SMALL OVERLAY the fuel calculator and the pit board, on top of
the sim, for the driver.
THE COMMAND PANEL a big separate window, for a large screen or a
second monitor, with the whole race on it.ENGINEER (the classic one)
The exact litres to put in. It works from your clean laps and throws
out the dirty ones (the lap where you went off doesn't count towards
your consumption).
THE VERDICT, AT A GLANCE
This is what you actually look at. Four states, each with its colour:
BLUE · MEASURING FUEL USE it is still learning your consumption.
Underneath it says "give it 1-2 clean laps" and how many
"laps measured" it has. Until it leaves this state, don't
trust the number.
GREEN · YOU MAKE IT you'll reach the end. Underneath,
"X L spare" — the cushion you have left.
AMBER · VERY TIGHT you'll make it, but barely: "only
+X L margin — watch it". Lift a little or get ready.
RED · REFUEL you won't make it. The number is the
litres to put in.
And around it: "tank for X laps", "X L left" and your real consumption
in L/lap.
SPOTTER
Follows a team-mate: where they are, gaps and their pit stops.
PITBOARD
The classic board, giant lines, free message (BOX BOX, PUSH, P3…). Readable at a glance from the car.
You can follow any car in the team by number or by camera.
Open it with the "Open command panel" button in the settings panel (right-click on the overlay).
It is an independent window: not tied to the size of the small overlay, freely resizable from the corner, and pinnable in VR like the rest of the house. Three blocks:
1 · CAR CARD
Everything about ONE car, the one you choose:
driver · team · car · iRating · Safety Rating
overall position and class position
gap to you, and whether it is closing in, pulling away or steady
last lap · best lap · clean average pace
stops made · total pit time · current stint · tyre compound
Move between cars with ◄ ►, or tick "follow camera" and the card
changes with whatever you are watching.
2 · LIVE STANDINGS
The full table: Pos · # · Driver · iR · Gap · Last · Best · Pace ·
Stops.
Filters: WHOLE race · MY CLASS · MY TEAM.
Click any row and it becomes the card above.
3 · LIVE PIT STOPS
IN THE PITS NOW: who is in the pits right now, with the clock running.
Below, those who have already stopped, sorted by number of stops and
by time. This is the information an undercut is decided on.· The pace shown is the MEDIAN of clean laps, not the average. One lap
in traffic or a spin doesn't pollute a rival's pace.
· The history covers ALL cars, not just yours. That's why it can tell
you how many stops anyone has made and how long they were stationary, even if you weren't watching them.
· Data refreshes twice a second, not every frame: the panel doesn't
steal performance from whoever is driving.
Right-click on the overlay opens the settings panel.
Language 6 languages, changes instantly without restarting Mode ENGINEER / SPOTTER / PITBOARD Size by dragging with the mouse Command panel the button that opens the big window
So you don't go looking for it:
· The pit board does NOT reach the driver's screen over the internet
yet. It is designed but deliberately not built.
· It doesn't estimate RIVALS' fuel, only yours.
· There is no COACH mode inside MURO.The command panel is empty → you need to be in a session with cars in
it. Outside a session there are no standings to show.
I can't see my team-mates → team data is requested when the command
panel opens. If you came in through the small overlay in fuel mode, open the panel and look again.
The litres don't add up → the calculation needs clean laps. At the
start of a session, with one or two laps and a dirty one, it is still learning your consumption. Give it a few laps.
The big window doesn't fit / looks huge → it is meant for a large
screen or a second monitor. Resize it freely by dragging the corner.
I can't find the panel button → it is in the settings panel, which
opens with a RIGHT-CLICK on the small overlay.
MURO comes inside the suite. Everything is read from the simulator on your own PC: nothing is sent to the internet and no account is needed.
